Programs

Jean Augustine Centre is dedicated to empowering girls and young women, ages 7 to 17. We offer free and subsidized after-school programs, workshops, camps, and events that focus on four pillars.

The Jean Augustine Centre also extends its support to women and families through our community programming and services!

Our program pillars support the overall mission, vision and values of the organization. The Jean Augustine Centre’s program pillars include:

Financial Literacy

Financial literacy programs and workshops like Money Matters provide girls with the knowledge they need to make sound financial decisions and become financially empowered young women.

Academics & STEM

Academic and STEM-based programs like Let’s Experiment, Fun with Numbers, and Reader to Reader, promote intellectual curiosity and encourage girls to be excited about learning.

Community Engagement

Community engagement programs like Youth Council and Leaders in Training teach girls to feel a sense of civic responsibility, to empathize with the struggles of others, and think critically of ways in which they can give back to the community.

Empowerment

Empowerment programs like Chef’s Catering and HER Spot equip girls with the life skills and knowledge they need to become self-sufficient, confident, and healthy young people.
